Near Fatal Attractions

We often find out that opposites attract. Some people say they are drawn to someone who is completely different than who they are. Then again, we hear that people like to hang out with a certain crowd of individuals who share similar beliefs or values and make them feel comfortable. We start to see that life is not as easily understood when we experience such a wide and diverse representation of likes and dislikes from the many people we socialize with. No wonder there is such a wide variety of political, social, religious and fraternal organizations necessary to encourage each of us.
Expressions like "two peas in a pod" or "they just fit together" are often spoken light heartily because people seem to change their minds about everything...anytime they feel the need to be different, at any given moment. Many times we have heard the very old expression, "we are known by the company we keep." Take for instance these two cars sitting by the side of the road in the corner of a parking lot. It is obvious that both luxury cars have had a similar experience in their rush hour lives. Assuming their dilemmas are fixable...they will soon be winding down many roads again.
When we reach out and embrace our neighbors we see pictures that enhance everyday life in our own international community.
