The Egg and Eye

Today we have modern science trying create life with the yet unfathomed studies of embryonic stem cells while developing the abilities for artificially implanting the seed of life in a woman. For me as a kid growing up, the greatest scientific question was wondering just who did come first, was it the chicken or the egg? Even more important than the actual childbirth is the nurturing and guidance of the young after conception. These acts are the divine responsibilities of motherhood. At Truffles by the Sea, this past Mothers Day a great great grandmother shared her own life's philosophy.
Marion Hutchings is 94 years old and her parents came from England to New Westminster, Canada. Marion later became a "California girl" and finally a "Birch Bay lass." This mother of three credits her own mom for helping her understand life's priorities by sharing age old proverbs that helped guide her into adulthood. When her own children and now great grandchildren ask her for advice, opinions and thoughts Marion waxes philosophical and tells them, "live your life simply and be the very best person you can and learn how to show love to others wherever you are."
When we reach out and embrace our neighbors we see pictures that enhance everyday life in our own international community.
