Let's Start This Year Over Again
Before I had arrived on the scene there were seemingly countless sirens announcing the collision and declaring to everyone help was on the way. The big sign said "Welcome to Washington." In fact it is the first sign we really see after crossing the border on the truck highway and entering the United States. Well, before three vehicles could even get past this sign they met in a crunching of metal and a melting of moods. Dealing with traffic accidents often causes stress even when we are not involved as we
confront aid cars, tow and fire trucks and police cars all speeding to help.
In an unseen car in front of these two, were three small children in the back seat of an even "smaller feeling" foreign car. In this scenario that is getting better by the minute, the kids were unhurt. The truck involved, with a payload on board was "only tilted" because at the slower speed going up the big hill, major damage was not a factor. The gloomy owner of this old classic sedan could see the insurance coverage rebuild "his baby" even better than before. When we can see the brighter side of things and find hope and peace we can truly wish each other a happy new year.
When we reach out and embrace our neighbors we see pictures that enhance everyday life in our own international community.
